Kendall Library and

The Kendall Neighborhood Library and Community Center, 609 N. Eldridge, is currently closed for repairs to damage caused by flooding from hurricane Harvey. The repairs are expected to be completed by the end of December and the library is expected to re-open in January once the shelves have been re-stocked.

Briarhills Facilities
The Briarhills facilities are on the north side of Briarhills Parkway at Forest and comprise a basketball court, parking, tennis courts, club house, pool house, swimming and wading pools, playgrounds, and playing fields. 
The Terry Hershey hike/bike trail and Buffalo Bayou border the property.

Trash collection

GFL Environmental picks up at your curb every Monday and Thursday after 7:00am (see below for exceptions). Please do not put your trash out before the previous evening.
Trash is not picked up on the following days: New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Should a pick-up day fall on one of these days, trash will be picked up on the next scheduled pick-up day.        
Recycling

Recycling is not picked up on the following days: New Year’s Day,   Independence Day and Christmas Day. Should a pick-up day fall on one of these days, recycling will be picked up on the following Friday.

The pool is open 10.30am to 8.00pm Tuesday through Sunday every week until Labor day. After Labor Day the pool will be open 10.30am to 8.30pm every Saturday and Sunday until the end of September when the pool will close until May 2022.
